Refund Policy

We want every lesson to be a good one. If something goes wrong, here is how cancellations and refunds work. This Policy is part of the sk8camp Terms of Service.

All refunds are issued to the original payment method.

2. Skater-Initiated Cancellations

2.1 Cancellations 24+ hours in advance

If you cancel 24 hours or more before the scheduled lesson start time, you receive a 100% refund. No fee.

2.2 Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance

If you cancel less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson start time, you receive a 50% refund. The remaining 50% compensates the Coach for the lost time slot.

2.3 No-show by skater

If the skater does not show up at the agreed park within 15 minutes of the lesson start time and has not communicated with the Coach, the lesson is treated as a same-day cancellation and you receive no refund.

3. Coach-Initiated Cancellations and No-Shows

3.1 Coach cancellation

If the Coach cancels for any reason, you receive a 100% refund. You may also choose to reschedule with the same Coach or book another Coach.

3.2 Coach no-show

If the Coach does not arrive at the agreed park within 15 minutes of the lesson start time, you may cancel and receive a 100% refund. Please notify sk8camp at [SUPPORT EMAIL] so we can track Coach reliability.

3.3 Coach confirmation window

Coaches have 24 hours to confirm a booking request. If a Coach does not confirm within that window, the booking is automatically cancelled and you receive a 100% auto-refund. You can rebook with a different Coach.

4. Weather, Park Closures, Acts of God

Outdoor skateparks are weather-dependent. If a lesson cannot happen because of:

either party may cancel without penalty. You will receive a 100% refund or you can reschedule for free with the same Coach.

The Coach has reasonable discretion to call a weather cancellation in the interest of safety. We will back reasonable safety-driven Coach decisions.

5. How to Request a Refund

  1. Open the booking in the sk8camp app.
  2. Tap Cancel Lesson or Request Refund.
  3. For automatic categories (24+ hours, Coach cancel, Coach no-confirm) the refund is issued automatically.
  4. For everything else, briefly describe what happened. sk8camp will respond within 2 business days.

6. Disputes (Safety, Conduct, Quality)

If you believe the Coach behaved unsafely, inappropriately, or did not deliver the lesson as described, contact sk8camp at [SUPPORT EMAIL] within 7 days of the lesson. Please include:

We will investigate, contact the Coach for their account, and decide based on the evidence. Possible outcomes include full refund, partial refund, lesson credit, Coach warning, Coach suspension, or no refund.

Safety concerns about a minor: if you believe a minor was put at risk, contact us immediately. We may suspend the Coach pending investigation. Where required by law we will also report to the appropriate authorities.

7. Processing Time

Refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method. Most refunds appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your card issuer or bank. International cards may take longer.

8. Chargebacks

If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us first at [SUPPORT EMAIL] so we can try to resolve it. Filing a chargeback before contacting us can delay resolution and may result in suspension of your account while the dispute is reviewed by your card issuer.

9. Coach Payouts and Reversals

Coach payouts are released 24 hours after lesson completion unless a dispute is opened. If a dispute is opened during or after that window, sk8camp may pause, reverse, or claw back the payout consistent with the Coach Agreement and with Stripe Connect terms.

10. Promotional Credits and Discounts

If a refund involves a promotional credit, coupon, or first-lesson discount, we refund only the amount you actually paid. Promotional credits may be reissued at sk8camp's discretion.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. If we make material changes, we will give reasonable notice. The version that applies to a booking is the version in effect on the date you made the booking.
